A lobster has to shed its shell constantly throughout its life for it not just to grow, but to remain alive. In my 50s, I finally sought and began getting the mental health care I needed. Now I am on a journey. Among other valuable things, therapy helped me gain the courage to leave a career that no longer served me. I am a new version of myself, a lobster with better-fitting skin. This new me has the space to travel, write, paint, watch birds, practice yoga, and pursue well-being. Most all of which would have been unthinkable a few short years ago. I will also work again but on my terms. I will use this space to talk about how I got here and the occasional silly story or bird I spot and am lucky enough to paint or photograph.

My name is Bill Boese, and I now carry much less baggage than I used to. Thank you for visiting my little space on the internet. I hope it will inspire you.
